Ambassador leatheroo Posted January 29, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted January 29, 2009 It is way way to hot here and thought i would share my suffering!!!! We are in the middle of the worst heat wave in over 100 years.. today is the 3rd day of extreme heat...today it topped 46C, that is 114F in your language and tomorrow is going to be just as bad. The weather man says it wont cool down for another 3 days yet!!!! Alot of the trains aren't running because the tracks have warped in the heat! I like warm weather but this is ridiculous!!!!! Who is nice and cool...can i come and stay at your place??? Quote "]http://leatheroo.blogspot
Members tonyc1 Posted January 29, 2009 Members Report Posted January 29, 2009 Roo, it's not even cool here in Tassy. It was 38 here today, even had to give the Pug a cold bath! Tony. Quote
Members tonyc1 Posted January 29, 2009 Members Report Posted January 29, 2009 We have just had a shower of rain for 10 minutes and it's dropped down to 25, which is great! But the rain has gone. Tony Quote
MADMAX22 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Reminds me of norther california, every summer would get 115f plus for a couple of weeks, sometimes higher. Just sit under the AC if you got it is all I can say. Im up in northwest washington state right now which honestly sucks. I think its sunny about 15% of the year. Quote
tashabear Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Come to Boston. It's 26 dF (3 dC), and we're all covered with slush and ice and snow. I'm looking out my window at the 4ft killer icicle on my neighbor's house. And even at 26 dF, I'll still probably go out with a t-shirt and fleece jacket. I always have a coat with me, but I rarely wear it. Quote

Members wildrose Posted January 29, 2009 Members Report Posted January 29, 2009 You're welcome here Roo - Virginia is cold, but not bitterly so. Today it is 35 degrees (F) and will probably hang in the 40s. Last week was a bit much at about 7 degrees - they actually cancelled school 'cuz it was too cold!!! Pathetic! Hilly Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 The last 26 mornings in a row, we've had overnight lows of between -10F (-23C) and -20F (-28C). This weekend, we might get up to near freezing. Of course, 32F is considered t-shirt weather here in Wisconsin.... Quote
