I made this one from cocobolo, it's 5" long by 1" wide.

Since I asked I better post a pic.

I use the handles of the edge beveler & stitching wheel. Also use my hands.

What is the gold color rod next to the ruler?

It's a crochet needle. I use them, too - great for making a straight line with a ruler.

I just use whatever smooth, rounded item is close at hand. Like JRB, I seem to end up using the handles of my edgers and stitching wheels a lot.

Same here. I also really like 1/4 drive deep well Craftsman sockets, chrome plated of course.

Here is my favorite, my son Riley made it for me. He has made several of these and some of the members here have them. They are made out of Osage Orange, aka Hedge.
