Here is a belt I just made for myself. I will use this as a promotional item...pretty much a show off piece. I'm really happy with it. It's more of a saddle tan color but the camera did not show this.

Thank you LarryB. This is one of those I just drew directly on the leather. See what comes out, you know. No templates.

Roo, This skull tip came out pretty cool. I think i will do all my belts with a pic on the tip. Thank you

Yeah Luke, The drawing, tooling and backgrounding did not really take long at all. The lacing however....UGH. Did I tell you how much I hate lacing. This might be the last one like this unless the $'s are good.

Spider, That Belt is SWEET! Love the color and the lettering... The background around the lettering really makes it "pop". LOVE the scull at the tip of the belt! If you ever want the belt to "glow" a little in the pics, try shining a little incandescent light on it! (Old fashioned light bulb) :spoton:

very cool Spider - love the design - the font is killer, great carving and coloring..i also like the billet - great way to use it...excellent job

but - why not line it? -it will last alot longer and will be more durable -

also - i think i would have used a rounder lacing pattern if i were going to do a belt

edge that way - i forget the pattern name - easily researched

the back and edge of the belt can and should easily look as great as the front - and you could even do that now if you wanted!

personally i think the front of the belt warrants it..lol

Hey Spider gimme a break, just come home from work with ...tada..a broken belt that I'm gonna redo for a friend at work.

No tooling except a little edging. He want's it as cheap as possible, ah well bread and butter money.

Sooo, this piece is fantastic :clapping: it really :guitar: rocks!

Every little thing is great, the skull tip, the lettering, backgrounding, laced edges and really cool beltbuckle.

But..what are you doing on that chair, isn't it easier to hang from a string? I'm guessing camerashakes is the reason.

Great work!

Tom

I appreciate your feed back and .02 cents. Gives me things to think about for the next one or even this one if I wanted.

Thank you Steve

Thank you Drac. I think I will accent the tips with something cool everytime.

Thank you Tom. I feel like we are learning new things all the time together. Luckily we have these pros willing to share with us. Or I should say, i am lucky to have all you guys sharing with me. I am an artist but I am learning the technique now. Fun stuff.

Oh, btw, I have my walls carpeted so i was not on a chair.....yeah,....Damn it I can't lie. I will hang the darn thing next time....Thank you Tom.
