Contributing Member UKRay Posted April 16, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted April 16, 2009 These are a few of the stools I have made recently. I get the legs hand-turned from 200 year old reclaimed oak. The leather is 3.5mm thick veg tan. The legs are 24" long. I'm thinking about stitching the next batch rather than lacing. MADMAX22 Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Those are very cool looking. I personally think that a good double or trible loop brade on the edges would look killer but ofcourse would take more time. Quote
Suze Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 see that didn't hurt - did it I still think that they are really neat Quote Reality is for people who lack imagination Whether you think you can or think you can't - you are right. ~Henry Ford
mendedbowl Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Hi Ray, those turned out really nice. very rich color, and i like the green man face the best. i think the stitching instead of lacing would be better for smoother corners, but that's just my opinion. ken Quote

Contributing Member rdb Posted April 16, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted April 16, 2009 Wake Up Ray! It's 4:55. Suze was right. It wasn't so hard, now, was it? I kinda like the ruggedness of the latigo lacing. The sewn ones can look very professional. I hope you do both. Quote Web page Facebook
