David Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Shirley, It looks great, do you remember where you got that braid? And what size lace did you use on it? It does a great job of covering the joint. Looks great. This one's a winner for sure, David Theobald Quote
Members Hedge Posted March 25, 2008 Members Report Posted March 25, 2008 Beautiful work Shirley! That's one to be proud of. I can see the attention to detail you put into the lacing and tooling. Ya done good! Quote

So, three forward, two back, that's it. Does that make sense? Shirley Quote badassseats As long as I have a want, I have a reason for living. Satisfaction is death. ~George Bernard Shaw

Does that make sense? Shirley Shirley, Yeah, that makes a lot of sense....a fast round braid....I like it. Did you see the Bandidos seat after I finished it? I could have used a fast round braid on that monster. Dave Theobald Edited March 25, 2008 by David Quote

Finally found this thread! (it took me a while and search wasn't "as" helpful as I'd hoped) I read a reference to your simplified mexican braid in another post - my arthritic ole mitts are gonna love you for this tip :0) It looks like a much easier braid to revisit for tightening every few loops as well :0) Thanks Shirley! Members TinyL Posted February 27, 2009 Members Report Posted February 27, 2009 Shirley, The seat is beautiful and the paint job is awesome. What kind of paint did you use and how did you apply it? Also what kind of sealer if any went over the top to keep the paint from rubbing off? I'd like to try paints but wonder how they will hold up. Thanks for your help. TinyL Quote
Members Sam Posted February 27, 2009 Members Report Posted February 27, 2009 Awesome...Great Job...I too am wondering about the paints and sealer. Quote
