rdb Report post Posted March 25, 2008 However you got the black lines on the white, and keeping the white clean is just great. The whole thing should make someone proud.

David Report post Posted March 25, 2008 Shirley, It looks great, do you remember where you got that braid? And what size lace did you use on it? It does a great job of covering the joint. Looks great. This one's a winner for sure, David Theobald

Does that make sense? Shirley

Shirley Shirley, Yeah, that makes a lot of sense....a fast round braid....I like it. Did you see the Bandidos seat after I finished it? I could have used a fast round braid on that monster. McJeep Report post Posted February 22, 2009 Finally got to finish this. I decided not to go with the mexican round braid on this one.ShirleyZ Hah!!!! Finally found this thread! (it took me a while and search wasn't "as" helpful as I'd hoped) I read a reference to your simplified mexican braid in another post - my arthritic ole mitts are gonna love you for this tip :0) It looks like a much easier braid to revisit for tightening every few loops as well :0) Thanks Shirley! TinyL Report post Posted February 27, 2009 Shirley, The seat is beautiful and the paint job is awesome. What kind of paint did you use and how did you apply it? Also what kind of sealer if any went over the top to keep the paint from rubbing off? I'd like to try paints but wonder how they will hold up. Thanks for your help.
