Roger Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 started this one today. it's a pretty good size seat for a triumph rocket 3. blistered my finger using my largest bevel! it's on the tip of the finger that i steady my bevels with when walking them. i just kept hoping it wouldn't pop while tooling. Ken thanks ken! this one will also have round braid the pebblers i have are from hide crafters. i really want to come up with my own pattern. some sort of modified pebbler. just not sure how i want to change it yet. i just love the texture!! If you're getting blisters, you're working too hard! :D p.s. Just a tip -- you can avoid blisters by icing your fingers every few minutes on a bottle of ice-cold beer. Of course, after a while your tooling will get sloppy and your mind will wander, but no more blisters... Quote

I love the shape and the tooling layout to the form and the whole tooling designing in itself look just amazing. I made a mess dying yesterday so I get nervous when seeing this all natural and beautiful and still that step remaining. Cant wait to see it finished and happy braiding! Tom Quote

David Theobald http://theobaldleather.com thanks for all the responces!!! david, the heel of the bevel rubs my finger as i walk it so covering the shank won't help. what i think i'm going to do is file the part that extends out past the shank and polish it up Awesome work!
