daughters purse

Well here is the first post of some of my work. I've been lurking here for some time now and got brave enough to post. The purse is for my youngest daughter. This was all her idea. Started out basicly as a copy of Tandys marketplace bag, then things changed from there! The note book is a piece I did for my wife a couple of years ago. This was my first attempt at hand sewing. All comments are welcome!

I'm glad you got brave enough to show your work. Those are both really nice pieces! I really like the buckstitching along with the sewing on the notebook. There is a lot of fun stuff going on with that purse. Your daughter had some great ideas and you pulled them together really nicely.

Seriously I think both are very nice and the bag shows some consideration and feel for colour combination and composition. There's a lot of stuff going on with that bag but you still maintain a nice elegant look to it. I'd would never have dared to put pink lace but it really looks good. In my head it seems impossible.

Looking forward to see more stuff in the future!
