Members Rocky Posted April 1, 2010 Members Report Posted April 1, 2010 Hello friends of nice leatherwork, got some new pics of a folder sheath i made for a customer. Double-layer front and back side - front made of cow hide and ostrich leg and back side double-layer cow hide with integrated belt loop. Dyed in dark reddish brown. Thanks for looking and your commendation. Best regards from Germany, Fritz Quote

MADMAX22 Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Great looking stuff. Ive been meaning to ask how do you like those integrated belt loops like that? Do you prefer those over adding a seperate piece of leather as a belt loop? Quote

Members GrampaJoel Posted April 2, 2010 Members Report Posted April 2, 2010 What type of glue do you use when you mold two pieces at the same time? btw, I love your designs. Quote
Members Rocky Posted April 2, 2010 Author Members Report Posted April 2, 2010 @ all : thanks a lot for your nice comments - those words are driving me on for more ! @ GrampaJoel : I use contact cement but i don`t mold two pieces at the same time ( that doesn`t work ! ) . At first i mold thin cow hide ( ca. 1,5mm ) and then i glue up the overlay - think it`s the best way to get those results ! Kindest regards from Germany, Fritz Quote

Hi MADMAX22: i prefer those integrated belt loops `cause sheaths remain flat and the different length of that slots allow to carry the sheath in an oblique manner ! best regards from Germany, Fritz Quote
