I have looked high and low for a stitching horse. I have even asked a friend who does beautiful wood work to make me one.

It seems that he just can't seem to find the time.:head_hurts_kr:???

So where in the world can I purchase a good quality stitching horse?

Does anyone know?

Thanks

Joel

Tandy sells one. Do a Google search and see what comes up.

Joel,

The stitching "Poneys" like Tandy has are not very handy. The Al Stohlman book on stitching illustrates one with a sit down seat. I made one similar to it, works great,

especially since you can sit any way you wish on it.

I have the one from Tandy, it works but not very well, bolt is too close to the top to be useful.

Check out some of the post from a couple of months ago. There is contact info for Ken Allen in New Mexico. One of the very best made. Ken

You may want to try and make one, they are not that difficult. I modified a pattern I found from this site, someone my know the link. I believe it was from wild rose.

I have two made by J.D. Randall that I found in antique shops. One I had to repair, the other was good as I found it. I have seen two more in antique shops in the last couple weeks, so they are out there. One was $165, in a shop off of I-70 near Greenville, IL. I didn't ask about the other, as I was on my motorcycle, so the price was moot. It was in a shop in Vincennes, IN near the George Rogers Clark national memorial.

I still have that Randall for sale but it's going to cost a bit to ship.
