I've been making items for a show I am exhibiting at in Las Vegas over labor day weekend.

This is one of the custom pieces I am taking with me.

Cape buffalo, two lizards, one sea snake, one baby python, and one ostrich (leg).

10 card pockets, 3 cash pockets, 1 zipper pocket, hand-carved KKL silver smoothie snaps and silver KKL grommet, and a mokume zipper-pull by Jeremy Marsh.

Stunning work! Love the Mokume gane metal pull as well.

We just put koi in our pond this summer so I love your choice of design. :)

Thank you! Not counting the construction of the wallet, the outer stitching and cutting was about 16 hours.

Thanks! I have a facebook page as well as a website. There's more on the facebook page though. Just search Kevin King Leather.

Beautiful kevin, i think this is my favorite so far.

Thanks! It's definitely up there as one of mine too.

Truly amazing. I like the different textures of leather that create the different patterns on the wallet.

Very nice work Kevin. Laid out flat, it looks beautiful. It's a very sweet execution of the scene. Folded up - it's equally beautiful. The thread colors, hide colors, shapes - they all play very nicely together in a meandering trail that entices you to want to keep turning it over to see what lay ahead.

Kevin, the design is superb and the craftsmanship (of course) is unequalled. Outstanding choice of materials and colors. Keep up the good work!

What kind of machine?

You have elevated yourself from a Master leather craftsman to a superb master artist.....matter a fact you have now combined these two titles and will call your self from now on : Superman of all wallets!!

Very impressive and making a tutorial on top of it....wow...

Go and get your self a cold one and celebrate your new title!!

Love your wallets

Howdy,

Brand new here, but this is an inspiring piece & while most have commented on the outside I like the inside, because you continue the theme without drawing away from the main focus.

This is also my first introduction to this type of work with leather & has opened my eyes to more possibilities.

Thank you for sharing,

David

Stunning. Love the layering composition and creative use of texture and stitching. Can you even sell such a piece, or are you just tempted to keep it as a show off item? :)

Well, they're crummy cell phone pics. But I think it makes the finished pics look a lot better.

I use a Juki DNU1541. I'd be lost without it.

Thanks, and you're welcome. Sometimes I hurt my head trying to figure out how to do what I have pictured in my head.

Sometimes I see people look at other pieces of work and respond by saying "i quit." I like your response much better. Thank you, David.

Thank you! I made this one to sell at the show I just attended in Vegas. It is the most expensive wallet i've ever made. It was the first thing that sold.

Thank you all for all the great words!
