Need Some Solid White Stain, Where To Get?

I tried a bottle of Fiebing's white dye and the natural color of the leather was showing through which really didn’t look like white, I need it solid white. Does anyone have any experience using white dye that actually turned out a white appearance and not a highlighter appearance?

There is no dye getting "white white". You have to use acryllic paint and I would suggest using Angelus white leather paint, I get it from this place (they have it in different sized bottles), it might be other places to out there? I don't have anything to do with this company except being a happy customer:-)

Another tip is painting it in thinn layers and make sure it dryes in between, this is the way you will get the best resault without lumps and bumps and a nice white color at the end.

The fiebing's white dye is more of a hybrid between a dye and an acrylic paint. It's really weird stuff. That being said, I've achieved my best results airbrushing it on in 2-3 light coats. It doesn't like being brushed on, doesn't cut with water, alcohol or thinner so it can't be properly thinned and sponge/rag application is a mess.

What's the application?

Sorry, I meant what are you trying to do with it? Edge coat, coloring a tooled area, etc?

After using the Fiebings White (just a light coat) Use Meltonian Nu Life Spray Dye (in White color) It is available in most colors. It covers better and faster then anything else. A couple lite coats then use your regular finish product (tan kote, Atom wax, ect.)
