celticleather Report post Posted January 15, 2012 There's a pretty good method here, in Badger's post, using a junior hacksaw frame: http://leatherworker...h=1 I use it all the time, and it really works!
Tree Reaper Report post Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) This is a good idea. I made one this morning from a hand tile cutter and a soon to be broken boot lace. I'm very pleased with the results. electrathon Report post Posted January 15, 2012 A far easier answer is to simply use your strop that you already have. If you have a piece of leather that is glued to a thin board you simply use the edge (top and one side). Aaron
Dwight Report post Posted January 15, 2012 I took two pieces of scrap pine, . . . several drywall screws, . . . a scrap piece of leather and made a beveler strop that works real well for me. The whole thing is about 10 inches long, . . . and sharpens my #4's real well, . . . real quick. May God bless, Dwight beveler strop.bmp
