Members Storm Posted July 11, 2008 Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 These were a couple of test runs on some new patterns I came up with. I really like the horse. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Looks good, the celtic stuff isnt the easiest to do as I recently found out. Outstanding work. Quote
Members sodapop Posted July 11, 2008 Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 i agree with ya storm, i really dig the horse, hes unique and gots style etc...cuz A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And no one can talk to a horse of course That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed. Go right to the source and ask the horse He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse. He's always on a steady course. Talk to Mister Ed. People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say A horse is a horse, of course, of course, And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse. You never heard of a talking horse? Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed." darryl Quote
Contributing Member Jordan Posted July 11, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted July 11, 2008 Nice work, as for the verse, I remember trying to decide to watch Mr. Ed or My Mother the Car, usually flipped back and forth. Hehehe Quote
Members oddball Posted July 11, 2008 Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 Nice work I love the celtic stuff. Quote
Ambassador leatheroo Posted July 11, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted July 11, 2008 i like the horse too...nice tooling Quote
Members Storm Posted July 11, 2008 Author Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 Thank you all for the kind words. As for Darryl! You have got to get a life Bro! HA! After I found out that they stuffed peanut butter in the palimino's mouth I switched over to Car 54 Where Are You! This is turning into retro tv night. The truth be said I was always partial to Phil Silvers in the Sgt. Bilko Show. I know...probably only Jordan and I might remember the show but it was funny. By the way anyone who ever sees a pattern I am working on and wants a copy I will gladly try to scan it and email it. Patterns are sort of like sheet music. You could have ten pianists play the same song and have it come out differently. One thing I enjoy is creating new patterns...especially figue carving. I have been working on creating some new florals bt it is not as easy as some think. Thanx again, Storm Quote
TomSwede Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 They are a couple of goodies Storm and nice tooling as usual! Tom Quote
Members TheTrooper Posted July 11, 2008 Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 Hi Storm, very nice work. I love those celtic patterns. One question, from where did you got the 2nd pattern ?!? Or is it self-made ?? Cheers, Marcel Quote
Schno Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Great work. The horse is cool... but honestly, I have to say that I prefer the second pattern. There looks like there's a story to it. That's good stuff! Quote
Members Dagr Posted July 11, 2008 Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 Nice work! I do alot of Celtic stuff, and it can be a real pita! Keep it up Quote
Members 12stones Posted July 11, 2008 Members Report Posted July 11, 2008 Looks good. Celtic will be the majority of my tooling, so now I have something to compare my quality with. Quote
Members DJole Posted July 20, 2008 Members Report Posted July 20, 2008 Yeah, I like that second pattern better. The horse is too pictorial--it's not abstract enough, like the original Celtic design work is. (And for what it's worth, the second pattern isn't really Celtic--I would categorize it as more Norse than Celtic, based on a few stylistic cues. Not all knotwork is Celtic, after all.) Quote
