I'm new to leather working and I'm having a hard time finding things for my projects, so can anyone please tell me, where do I find metal letters for putting someones name on a leather choker? :helpsmilie: I tried looking but I'm having no luck at all, as the kind that I'm thinking of look like the spots in Tandys catalog that have the metal blades that fold over to secure it to the leather. I appreciate any help. Thank you, Serena

The only letters I have seen are designed for belts which are probably too large, You may find some at places like Joannes Fabric or some other craft type store

Did you have any luck with this? I've been searching all over with no luck today - need to find the same type of thing to use on dog collars. Have found a local puppy boutique joint that's interested in helping me pay my mortgage ;0)

Not the work I "want" to be into but if it'll put $ in the account it's all good :)

I've ordered from Fire Mountain Gems for years, they have a fantastic catalog with all sorts of initials and letters on beads you could use. I think they're one of the bigger bead suppliers on the net. Order a catalog, it's like christmas all the stuff they have that you could put on your leather projects to add some detail.

Here is the link to the pages with all the alphabets.

They range from 14K (cha ching) to silver, pewter, etc.

I'm not real sure but I thought I saw something like that for scrapbooking. try looking at sites that sell the "bedazzler"

and if you send for Firemountain gems catalog

give someone your credit card -- it is easy peasy to run up a massive bill....

Hi...it might be worth a call to my daughter.... she runs the bead and jewelry section of our store, and she buys from about a zillion people like fire mountain. If she, (or Mary) can't help you, then I think you're in for a difficult time. I think you're onto a good idea, and I'd certainly be interested in selling those little letters if you ever find them.
