fgabesz Report post Posted December 1, 2012 My friend asked me to make a sheath for him to keep his Kocsis-made (paired knife and fork) folder that he can wear on a belt with a business suit as well, one that looks more like a holder for a telephone than a knife sheath. Thanks for your looking!
SooperJake Report post Posted December 1, 2012 Another stunning example of your work! Are you using round holes or slits for the braid work? What width is the lace, and what size is the hole or slit, please?

fgabesz Report post Posted December 1, 2012 Thanks All! Another stunning example of your work! Are you using round holes or slits for the braid work? What width is the lace, and what size is the hole or slit, please? I stabbed holes, 3 mm wide. The belt is 3 mm wide and 0.5 mm thick.

fgabesz Report post Posted December 17, 2012 This sheath received an "A" mark from the Applied Folk Art Jury of Hungary. This means that both the technique used and the shape/properties of the sheath are of the highest quality, as befitting a traditional Hungarian sheath. Vantramp Report post Posted January 9, 2013 Such beautiful work! I am pretty new to this craft and find your work very inspiring! What is that type of braiding called, not the edge stuff or the closure, but the decorative stuff on the flat surfaces? -Mike
