Hi everybody,

After having shown my arm guard in the show off section I have been requested the pattern by some of you. I did much more than a simple pattern scan, and from this link:

you can download a complete *pdf document with everything needed but the cup of coffee.

Enjoy! And thanks in anticipation for feedback and for the photos of the arm guards you will make.

Fred

I've never seen an arm guard like this before. I've been looking for a bow so I can get back into archery again. This will make a nice piece for me since I tend to get a lot of string slap due to the way my arms twist when holding the bow out in front of me. Thanks for sharing!

THANK YOU FOR POSTING.

Last Christmas I made a quiver for my son-in- law.

I wanted to make him a arm guard this year, but had no pattern so I made a belt, & matching tool/mag case to wear on the belt, both black basket weave .

NOW I have a pattern for next years gift. THANKS FOR SHARING !!!!!

Bravo!!
I attempted my first pair of arm guards before seeing your post.

I'll definately need to dial it up a few notches and try your design!

Hello all. Getting into some of these threads, a little on the later side. This is My very First post here. ;-)

That's a very nice archery arm guard. Beautifully designed and finished.

I would tend to agree about the string slap and archers stance. Please don't stand at a 90* angle to your target, but turn a little more towards the target, which will change the angle slightly of your bow string travel.

What at a great forum. Thankful to be here. Really enjoying it, so far, with its very well rounded membership.

Hi Fred

That is an awesome arm guard! I am new to leather working and just saw this. My grand daughter (12 years old) has been competing in 4H archery for a couple of years and I would like to make her an arm guard like yours. I realize this post originated several years ago. I tried to access the pattern but was not able to. Is it possible to post a new link to the pattern?

Thanks,

Tom

@JRLeather2 @rosiart @ChasCS@24VOLTS @J Hayes @craftsman827 @lightingale @ebdavison Do any of you happen to have the pdf from the link above?  The domain has disappeared (no longer registered) so the pdf is gone.  If you have it, please post it again.  If it is too large, message me and I will give you an email address to send it to so I can post it here.

Thanks for your assistance.

Tom

I have it Tom! But I need your email, please.
