Members LeatherLegion Posted May 21, 2013 Author Members Report Posted May 21, 2013 Lovely, can i ask what you use yo cut such clean straight lines and curves ?, this is my major problem . I just had some cutting dies made few months ago for the main pannels...some 6in /8in ,8in/8in rectangulars with round corners. The inside slits for the pockets , zipper and so on are done by hand. .For the add-on pieces i use regular round punches, end-strap punches and few "home-made" ones to achive whatever design . Sometimes it's just "free-hand"cutting...lol... For the tab you see on the long wallet, i used a 1.75in english point punch for the tips Thanks ! Quote

Members Basically Bob Posted May 24, 2013 Members Report Posted May 24, 2013 I really like the designs and your attention to detail. Curious about a couple of things .... are the slits, simply slits with no separate liners for each of them? Also is the stitching for decorative purposes only? Quote

Curious about a couple of things .... are the slits, simply slits with no separate liners for each of them? Also is the stitching for decorative purposes only? Each slit has it's own pocket ("bag") to stop the card from sliding all the way down...hence the stitching...and are made out of linning fabric . The only slit that doesn;t have that is the bottom one.I also used pig skin as liner to cover the card pockets on the back so the large pocket can be properly used Somebody posted here a drawing of how the pockets are put together.
