can someone recommend me a few suppliers on solid brass hardware? price is not an object but the quality has to be top notch.

Amish company, so no computers. Call for a catalog and then call with orders.

I've never had a problem with them or the stuff they sell. Very easy to work with and prices are right.

JT Bachelor of Islington (London) sells a wide range of very good solid brass hardware cast in Walsall, the traditional heart of the English saddlery trade. Prices are very reasonable too, though you will need to polish them a little.

Abbey of England has a huge selection of lovely buckles. I am going to try Zach White out of North Carolina to see if they stack up to Abbey.
