Members BareBonesLW Posted June 24, 2013 Members Report Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) I recently purchased a Landis #1 from a fellow down the road who is scaling down his business. I've scoured the internet and found lots of people who own them but no one ever seems to mention what size or type of thread they are running. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciate. Also, if you know of a source for the thread in Canada that would be even better! Cheers Edited June 24, 2013 by BareBonesLW Quote
Members BareBonesLW Posted June 24, 2013 Author Members Report Posted June 24, 2013 You can use 277,346 & 415. Well that was fast hahaha. Thanks for the info! Quote
Members pcox Posted June 24, 2013 Members Report Posted June 24, 2013 This is right out of the book that came with my #1 from 3 to 8 cord #3 = 207 #24/180 needle 12 stitches to the inch $ cord = 277 # 25 needle 8 sti 7 cord =415 # 27/250 needle 6 or 7 sti 5 cord =345 etc. I have sewn with 92 thread when I still had some 160 needles. It uses a different presser foot for each stitch length and you need to change to the correct size needle bushing for what ever size needle you are useing. Quote
Members Gump Posted June 24, 2013 Members Report Posted June 24, 2013 As another bluenoser, the best source I could find was Raphael Sewing in Montreal. It is run by Ron of Techsew fame. They advertise on this site somewhere. Gump Quote
