Kevin King Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Well guys, thought i'd get my feet wet again. Its been a while since i've posted anything. Figured I'd start with something simple. Elephant skin, cayman alligator tail racing stripe, skulls & roses lining. Quote The second kick from a jackass is of no educational value. Members Windy Posted September 10, 2008 Members Report Posted September 10, 2008 It may be simple to you but to me I have no idea how to make the lining shift when you open the wallet. I looked and looked and sure enough the skulls shift from the center to the end once you open the wallet. I will keep working on it , maybe by morn I will have it worked out. Hmmmmmm:) WINDY Quote To all those who think ..........................

Contributing Member rdb Posted September 10, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted September 10, 2008 Looks like the time away has been good for your skills. Damn fine looking wallet! I need a finer machine than my 3000 to do that work. Too much trouble switching out threads and tension, etc. Got to get me something. What are you using lately? Quote Web page Facebook
Kevin King Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks for all the nice comments guys and gals. I made this one just to try to get back in the swing of things. Its listed on ebay if you all know anyone looking for a cool wallet at a decent price. It may be simple to you but to meI have no idea how to make the lining shift when you open the wallet. I looked and looked and sure enough the skulls shift from the center to the end once you open the wallet. I will keep working on it , maybe by morn I will have it worked out. Hmmmmmm:) WINDY Actually, there is no shifting of the liner. Its just glued in. Looks like the time away has been good for your skills. Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted September 11, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted September 11, 2008 Um, Windy, the ends are stitched. The wallet is opened in the middle to show the lining. It's turned 90 degrees, too. The top right corner of the 'open' pic is the top left corner of the wallet when it's opened. The top right corner of the 'open' pic is the top left corner of the wallet when it's opened. Um, I see now after further study that what appears to be a corner is the wallet being curved up in the photo giving the appearance of what I seen as the corner. Had it been a full shot I would have seen this sooner. I did look and look and look and it just looks like a corner.Albeit after you said it is opened in the middle I looked and looked some more and low and behold I now see.Funny how photos can play tricks on ones eyes and mind.
