What a coincidence - I have an FXR ('93) I was just getting ready to take the stock panel off to get the pattern for a bib. If you can wait a couple of days, I can make a pattern and mail it to you. There is no way to give accurate dimentions without a pattern - the cut-out for the instrument panel, etc. Let me know.

All I can say is YOU ROCK. :You_Rock_Emoticon: Thanks a million

That would be perfect. Please let me know

The tank bib he wants does not have the cut out for the instrument panel though. So that is not tat big of a deal. The thing I am confused about is how it attaches to the bottom of the tank. I am not sure how the tank mount looks on this bike. Or do the bibs attach seperately to the frame rail via a velcro loop or something.

You can attach it either with a strap and buckle to the frame or, make a tab at the bottom of the bib, punch 2 holes and run a thong through it. At the top, cut the panel to fit the contour of the instrument panel, then sew a flange to the back (of the top). this sits under the edge of the instrument panel.

Who makes the FXR? IS that a cruiser or sport bike?

I had seen bibs made with laces to tie under the front fork and under the seat so that is the way I did the one that I made for my brother in law's Harley. We'll see how well it works out.

After he saw it he asked how it was attached. I was tempted to scare him and tell him I glued it on. LOL

FXR is made by Harley Davidson.

its my understanding that harley Davidson is the only motorcycle company that uses F as the first letter in their model names. therefore anytime you see F#$%^ its a Harley Davidson.
