Sealing Unfinished Leather

Can you guys tell me how I go about sealing tooled natural leather, meaning no dye or stain.

I would just use what you normally would to finish it off. Tan Kote, Resolene, or Leather Sheen.

I like Leather Balm.....a nice mellow finish.

How does Harness Dressing fit in among the other finishes such as Leather Balm, carnauba cream, Aussie Wax, etc?

I would try it out on a few pieces of scrap from the leather that your using. Every one will act slightly different but I am thinking most will darken slightly. Not only that but if you oil it first that will also darken it a shade. And if all else fails the first time it is out in the sun for a good bit it will darken up a bit.

Neatlac, saddlelac, pecards, aussie, sedgwick's, clear wax... any of those, plus all the others mentioned.

You better buy up some Neatlac quick, HideP ... it is already mostly not available in pints - most Tandy's only have it in some left over gallons ... :closed:
