Members rosiart Posted March 30, 2014 Members Report Posted March 30, 2014 Although I can see the need for improvement in my stitching, I am really happy with this. I used the Arthur Porter you tube videos as my starting point. I have had the leather for more than a year, waiting for this project I think. There are a few more pics on my blog. Thanks for looking. Members rosiart Posted March 30, 2014 Author Members Report Posted March 30, 2014 Thanks, Aaron. I really like the colour of that leather and figured it would make a good purse for the spring ( if it ever arrives :-)) Quote Rosemary RosiArt's Blog
Members MonicaJacobson Posted March 31, 2014 Members Report Posted March 31, 2014 Very nice! It looks very clean and well done. I like the gray leather. I was looking at some gray Austin leather the other day. I had planned to buy some, but was disappointed at how the brown showed through once it aged a little and made it look purple. Your leather has no such problem. Very nice! Quote http://monicajacobson.com/ https://www.etsy.com/shop/TrimGoTrix?ref=si_shop

Members rosiart Posted March 31, 2014 Author Members Report Posted March 31, 2014 Thanks for the kind words Tom ,5spice, Monica and Miss Denise. Monica, the leather is not gray but a kind of dusty aqua. Hard to describe but really pretty in person and very spring like. Guess the picture reads differently on your computer. I am in a bit of a quandary though, as someone is asking me to make her one. I'm not sure I have enough leather left since I want to try and make matching sandals and the hardware was one of a kind. I wouldn't even begin to know what I should charge for something like this. Any idea? Quote Rosemary RosiArt's Blog
Members scootinnc Posted March 31, 2014 Members Report Posted March 31, 2014 I have no idea what you should charge, but I was just getting ready to ask you about the hardware when you stated that it was one of a kind You did a great job stitching, in my opinion. Do you have a double stitcher or did you run it through twice? Also, what is your blog address? Quote
