Members DavidL Posted May 8, 2014 Members Report Posted May 8, 2014 If I ever get hold of a copy in Chinese I could get a relative to translate it into english. I may have to give them some cash because I don't think they want to translate a book all day.
Members agentmm Posted May 10, 2014 Members Report Posted May 10, 2014 Hello, New member to the board. It has been very helpful for diggin me out of a few different holes I put myself in so I thank you for your wisdom, knowledge and experience. Would anyone be willing to "lend" me any of these Studio Tac books? I'm primarily interested in mens wallets. I realize they would be prized possessions to anyone who owns them, but maybe we can work something out like a p2p library. If not, anyone looking to sell?As was noted above...I'm not stoked on 60 bucks a piece Thanks in advance

NVLeatherWorx Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 What is wrong with keeping your purchases inside the U.S.A.? There isn't anything available from a book from another country that can't be found right here without a little searching and I know from experience that the vast majority of the patterns and ideas are available without having to go overseas. I too speak other languages (several as a matter of fact thanks to the U.S. Army and my career requirements) but that doesn't meant that I need to go to an alternate source for things because they are supposedly better. I have been doing leather work for over 40 years and have yet to go outside of the available information sources right here at home for a pattern or other idea; found it all just by looking for it or, the best method of all, creating my own unique version of something. Personal creativity goes much farther than any book will ever take you. No intention to offend anyone here but the more we look outside of our own Country (and that goes for anyone, anywhere) the more we lose our uniqueness and start to become just another minion of the foreign influence.
