Hello Leatherworkers,

After Ducjecs posted his bi-fold template and tutorial I learned so much I really wanted to pay it forward. Here is a template as well as instructions on how to make a big wallet. Its big but its slim. I have it in my pocket right now and it's actually extremely comfortable!

If you use my template and have a go at making this wallet please post it in the thread. I'd love to see what you guys come up with!

Thanks for looking!

Joe

Thank you for posting this Joe. You are right it is big, but without everything stacked on top of each other, this layout should be pretty easy to carry. Nice job! Bet it helps quite a few folks.

May God Smile on you today.

Thanks! I've been making so many "minimalist wallets" I wanted to make a big one. I'm carrying it right now and it fits really nice.

Joe, ___________

I too, like your Big Ass pattern, Normally I make what I call Trucker Wallets, favored by lots of bikers as well.

I couldn't agree more, a longer wallet does spread everything out inside of it. but too because it is spread out, it sits more evenly with the body,

making it less tiring. I have driven many hundreds of miles with mine in same pocket.

I had gotten to where I hated that lump on my hip, for this reason I like trucker style wallets. your design looks so interesting can't wait to make one. Thanx for putting your new Big Ass design up.

I was skeptical at first. But of all the wallets I've made this is the one I use on a daily basis. It sits extremely evenly and is very comfortable!

Good luck. Post up a pic when you are done!

Hi I just found your wallet tutorial and really like it. Thanks for posting it. I do have one question on the pattern. The outer cover is about half an inch longer than the cash pocket. Is it designed that way or did my printer screw up? Thanks, Jim

That is intentional. That way when you fold the wallet over, the outside has room to fold around the inside. This helps the wallet lay nice and flat

Joe Very nice Big Ass Wallet you made there and thanks for the instructions

I like the file format too

I made something similar to that except for I put 8 card slots on one side.

it is made longer and wider to accomidate the card pockets and it can also double as a check book wallet

I would post a pic but another member of this forum informed me by PM

that my work is pathetic so I will not suffer any of you by posting any of my eyesores.
