Members oscar621 Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 I get a lot out of seeing other people's projects here but don't often post... so here's something I finally finished and I thought I would share... Quote
Members keplerts Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 Hey, You did a great job! Really like the lining inlay. Stitching looks great and does the finish. What brand and wt of leather did you use? What is the finish. Hand or machine stitched? Keep up the good work! Quote
Members Rohn Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 Looks beautiful form here. Fine, fine job. Quote
Members oscar621 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks. It's a piece of 5/6 oz ALC (Triple C?) veg tan and it's lined with a random piece of bag side from a bundle I got from SLC. Mostly machine sewed and then laced (that was a new one for me). Then I just rubbed on a beeswax/oil combo and buffed. I thought about an acrylic finish over that but think I might just leave it alone. Thoughts? Quote
Members rosiart Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 Very nice. I was wondering about the size of it, it's a bit hard to tell from the pictures. Quote
Members keplerts Posted June 5, 2014 Members Report Posted June 5, 2014 It looks nice the way it is. But, a light coat of Bag Kote would really bring out a warm shine and give it some light protection. Quote
Members oscar621 Posted June 11, 2014 Author Members Report Posted June 11, 2014 I added the bag kote as suggested - thanks. As for size, it is 4"x12" at the bottom and about 10" high in the middle. Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted June 20, 2014 Members Report Posted June 20, 2014 Great bag! I love the inlay! Quote
