MonicaJacobson Report post Posted July 6, 2014 Well, I learned a lot about wallet making this month. Also, this is my first try with inlay. I thought I'd make a wallet for my sis-in-law for her birthday, but I've only ever made one or two before, and not since I joined this forum, so they weren't anything to write home about. But I didn't want to buy new tools. You know how it goes. So I made it, and it's not so bad, but if I ever make another one, I'll thin the leather waaaay down (I used 7 oz... not smart, though I thinned the pockets down to almost paper thin.), buy a higher spi tool, and use thinner thread. So... thanks for looking. If you have any other bright ideas, let me know. 7 oz. veg tanned (I know, I know), snake skin inlay, pigskin lining, veg tanned pockets.
