The top grain is separating from the inner fibers (top stretching more than the bottom). I think your word "permanent" is correct -- nothing to be done at that point. Quote
Members camano ridge Posted August 4, 2014 Members Report Posted August 4, 2014 What part of the leather is it Red? I tend to find more of that kind of wrinling in the belly area. Because you are getting that on a piece does not necassarily mean you will get it on the whole side or shoulder. Quote

And the piece was a little low on the shoulder. Is this something I can expect once in a while. The picture was just that and didn't think of showing wrinkles. My experienc has been that I find that problem mainly in the belly and neck area. Try a piece more toward the back area of the shoulder and see if it behaves the same. Quote

But seriously, . . . I've had a couple of bouts with the wrinkle monster, . . . wish I had a definitive answer. I do know it seems to happen more with thicker leather than thinner. AND, . . . the one place I have whooped him, . . . is in the front inside of my lined holsters, . . . I do the John Bianchi skive on the inside piece, . . . takes them thar wrankles right out of the holster front. May God bless, Dwight Quote
