tboyce Report post Posted August 27, 2014 I downloaded this pattern from a Spanish website about a year back. Haven't made the purse yet but I did manage to get a picture of what the end product should look like. I translated from Spanish to English and from millimeters to inches and plotted it up on a PDF file. As before, you can take it to any office supply or print shop with a large format printer. The final print will be 42"x 30"If anyone makes one before me, upload the picture! I'd like to see it bolsa.pdf

dbusarow Report post Posted December 20, 2014 I happened to be looking at the picture of this purse when my wife walked by. She wants one!! Thanks for the post and pattern Tom. Could you experienced bag makers chime in with recommendations for the leather? All I have is veg tan I use for holster, sheaths etc.. I do have some very nice 4-5 oz W&C that might work but I'm guessing that it might be too stiff for this pattern. What say you? Thanks, Dan
OhSewPrettyLeather Report post Posted April 15, 2015 I know this was from forever ago but I definitely want to try this!! It's a beautiful shape...
Grey Drakkon Report post Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) Should a chrome tanned leather be used for this, or a really soft veg tan? I'm not into purses, but my sister is so I thought this might make a good gift. Edited April 18, 2015 by Grey Drakkon
tboyce Report post Posted April 18, 2015 I would go with a chrome tan
isaac Report post Posted April 19, 2015 I used veg tanned water buff calf around 2.0-2.2mm thickness.Worked well and allowed me to carve stamp as well.

doe Report post Posted April 29, 2015 So um... It didn't turn out quite like the pic lol!! But I'm still thankful for the pattern cause I was able to make this awesome bag I think I like it without the pleats! Great color choices too. Is that a fabric lining?
OhSewPrettyLeather Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Thanks Grey! Yes Doe that is fabric. I used plain medium weight cotton, I always have to have some sort of crazy lining lol!
MonicaJacobson Report post Posted April 29, 2015 Nice! I love the contrast with the lining!

dbusarow Report post Posted June 5, 2015 I finally got it done. I used 3/4oz veg tan from RJF Leather. Very nice leather. This was my second bag. The first with lining, pockets and zippers. Dan

genuss Report post Posted January 2, 2019 On 27.08.2014 at 22:47, tboyce said:
