stelmackr Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Email from Hide House 8/27/14: We would like to inform you of both good news and bad news. The bad news first, as recent National & International News coverage of our beautiful Napa Valley shows we were struck by a 6.1 Magnitude Earthquake early Sunday morning the 24th. Although our buildings are in tact and structurally safe we suffered massive shelving systems failure in one of our three buildings. Unfortunately this area housed our greatest variety of leathers and left us with a landscape of twisted metal, shelving and of course our beautiful leather hides. "We are not going to sugar coat this" It is an unmitigated disaster. Now for the good news!! Unlike some of our fellow wineries etc, who actually lost their product due to breakage, our inventory is believed to be 90-95% intact. Our challenge is to dismantle the mess and re-build as quickly as possible. We want you, OUR VALUED CUSTOMER, to know we have every intention of staying in business & building a bigger and better Hide House to better serve you. Our only concern is that we ask you to please be patient and understand the process that lies ahead of us. We currently are taking orders, by phone, fax, online or email, with the intentions of shipping at our earliest convenience. Please don't hesitate to place your orders as we will be shipping in order received chronologically, no exceptions. Below are some pictures of our warehouse. Thank you for your valued support and we look forward to serving you soon!!! The Hide House Team www.hidehouse.com Quote
