Moderator Johanna Posted November 2, 2008 Moderator Report Posted November 2, 2008 Hey, Americans, don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour tonight. You folks in other countries of the world- do you do Daylight Savings Time in your country? Does it work like ours? Tomorrow morning, half the congregation will get to church an hour early. Johanna LOL!! No alarm pages last night!! The time change routines that I wrote for my software applications worked!! Hot Dayum I love it when a plan comes together!! I go through this torture EVERY time change because I am always terrified that some crazy condition will be realized in my applications that I missed and the time change will break the app triggering a flood of alarms. I am so happy that leather doesn't care about the time change!! Just another reason why leatherwork is superior to IT work!! Too bad it doesn't pay as well!! Quote

Members Washroad Posted November 3, 2008 Members Report Posted November 3, 2008 I set my clocks back but my body didn't pay any attention and I got up at 4AM. Oh well, the coffee was ready and my dogs don't seem to mind getting fed early! Quote
rickybobby Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Here in Arizona there is no change. The VCR still blinks 12:00 lol !!! I lived in Hawaii for a couple of years too, no time change there either!! Quote
ferret Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Ours works just like yours... but we did it last week! We did? I missed it, we had a power cut in the early hours and I had to reset everything. I wondered why it was getting dark so early Quote
Members cem Posted November 4, 2008 Members Report Posted November 4, 2008 We've had it a couple of weeks now in Western Australia, this is the last year of our three year trial it had been voted down in the last three refurendums we had but some dumb twits in government decided we were going to have a three year trial and forced it upon the public. It's likely to get through this time due to the influx of eastern staters, if you want to rev up a true West Australian tell them how wonderful daylight saving is and then sit back and watch the show. I personally don't like daylight saving as I like light mornings but can contain myself when someone asks my opinion, my father on the other hand he's one for the show. We have it from the end of October to the end of March which is too long as it still doesn't tie in with the other states and makes it still fairly dark at 7.30am in March, People would probably accept it more here if it finished at the end of February. Daylight saving is great here in Tassy as it doesn't get dark until nearly 10 pm in December! Quote
