Attached is the new left Presser I made for the K53,also a pic of the one that came with it. The one that came with it is Bronze, the new one is 6061-T65 Alloy, about twice the tensile. Works like a charm, feeds very well. Also working on a regular presser, just have to machine the needle slot.

and a new needle plate/feed plate is a work in progress

Won't the pressers from a GA5 fit the K25

Sorry but the GA5 feet do not fit.

There is a way to fix that but I need to go have a play.

Frankqv - just today I was able to acquire some Adler 5 feet - I think they could fit for your 45K. Maybe you are interested.

I´ll post some pictures of the parts I have found tomorrow and link them here.

Constabulary,

I would be interested to see the Adler 5 presser feet.Pretty sure they would fit.

Attached is a new Standard presser I made,a photo of the machine and a Little LCP holster I sewed off with the Machine. I won't be using it for holsters, but since I got the new feet made and it sewed straight,I figured I would try it on a holster.\

Nice PDF - thanks Jimi.

THAT is what I call a very informative description of sewing machine. You don´t find such detailed descriptions anymore.

When I first saw an original Adler III and Adler 4 / 5 manual - I was deeply impressed that every single attachment was so well described back then. Every sewing device is pictured in a sewing situation and very well described. Even the manual for my 307G2 is so nice it´s almost like visiting a tailors class.

Nowadays you can be happy when you get an understandable manual in your language or even a manual at all. Often enough machines / devices cost hundreds or even thousands of Dollars (or €) but the MfG´s or dealers (with some exceptions) do not spend 0.20 cent for a good manual.

Fortunately there are some dealers who make their own manuals but thats rare!

attachicon.gif45k53.pdf check this one out franqv.

Thanks Jimi

Nice PDF to go with the machine, great discription.

That sales brochure was aimed at manufacturers, touting capabilities of the machine for particular industries. The picture shows a mechanism above the faceplate, that my machine doesn't have. My machine has a thread guide leading to the primary tensioner, look at my pictures above.

i think the parts manual for the 45k37,42,50 and 52 would have the same or similar parts, i think the 45k50 is the flatbed equivalent of your class 53 I Have an original parts manual from the lawrence saddle company for a 45k52 machine which presumably they used. the only difference i can see is that it is a top feed only and it has the wax heating attatchment, but i think most of the main parts are the same and it has some great views of the presser feet. i will try and upload some pages soon.

I have the machine up running and tuned. Gave it a paint job, looking for decals,or I might get the sing guy behind my shop to do them,he does gold leaf for the Firetrucks.

This wood table is mobile and has storage for a couple of Plano Containers to hold Needles,Feet ect.

Servo with reducer. The kids I mentor love it,easy to use

Frankqv,

Your machine sure is looking fine to me. Can't believe how fast you're moving with it. If you get a chance, would you post some of the kids projects?

I'm still trying to get the Singer parts and fasteners for my K25 before the tear down. It's sewing well though. LW member Darren Brosowski found a bobbin winder for me, and Constabulary put me on to a material guide. Still need the oil box

Did you take it to bare metal before painting it? What paint did you use?

Have a great Holiday.
