Thanks guys. I should say all but the strap was quick. Even though the strap is just pretty plain it took a while to hand stitch it, I always laminate two pieces of leather for my straps so I will have skin on both sides. I kind of dislike doing straps, even with a strap cutter they can get on my nerves.

LOL, ditto Grey Drakkon, just really quickly hand stitched all the way around the flap and the strap. Really quick. Great job, Dan. I like this one a lot. I like the flaps that go inwards on each side. No way I'm letting any of my relatives see these threads.

Its smaller than most of the bags I've made. I don't recall the exact dimensions but roughly 10 1/2 inches tall by about 9 inches wide and about 3 inches deep. When I was thinking it up, I figured I wanted it big enough to hold an iPad and a few other items. I didn't make a pattern, just put the ruler down on the leather and drew it out there. The strap is 1 inch wide and long at least 60 inches between it's two pieces so it can be worn cross body at the waist. I think the flap took me around an hour to sew. The pig skin was already glued and it is 5 oz leather so it went pretty quickly. The strap on the other hand, took quite a bit longer. I didn't clock it, but I would say it was probably about 5 hours or more to stitch it. I had not made anything for a few weeks and it was a shock to my fingers to start sewing for long periods of time again. They were a little tender the next day, but recovered quickly.
