This is my very first leather working project, a set of book covers for the Harry Potter books. It took me roughly 50 hours over 3 months - Lots of time lost to learning curve and having to acquire the tools necessary as I needed them. There's a lot I would do different, but I'm pretty proud of how they turned out. I've got the process more or less documented(I started documenting it in the middle of the project) over here

Very nice, definitely make them a custom collectors item, not that you would ever get rid of them.

I made them for my Wife for Christmas. Growing up, her grandmother read her the stories each night so they were a big part of her childhood. Her grandmother passed away about two years ago, and we didn't have our own set of the books yet so I thought I would make them something special. There were many (happy) tears Christmas morning!

What a thoughtful gift to your wife. These will become a treasured hierloom.

I really like how you laced the corners...I'm not fond of double loop lacing, but your treatment on the corners is awesome!

Well done.

Oh wow. I saw your post on Reddit last year before Christmas.

I'm now over $400 into this amazing hobby, it's changed my life, turned me into a maker, My girlfriend loves me smelling of leather, I've even lost weight!

I just wanted to say thank you, your art was the spark I needed, and that is invaluable to me.
