Lithops Report post Posted March 1, 2015 Hi everybody, I was looking at conchos and synthetic rivets/spots and I was wondering witch one is best; Silver plated, stainless steel , nickel plate, brass plate, sweet iron... What is there good or bad side ? If some rust faster then a other one? Are the synthetic crystal rivet/spot are all made from nickel plated ? Where is the best place to buy good quality synthetic Crystal rivets/spots (mostly for out door stuff-horse tack) ? (I'm from Canada) Is there a way to take care of them so they last longer time ? (synthetic crystals rivets/spots or conchos depending of the material) Thanks for the info !!! Lithops

TIMCO now SX Report post Posted March 3, 2015 I do apologize that there is no pricing. As many of you know, putting together a web site can be complicated and tedious. It was taking so long with the old web designer that we finally said enough. We wanted to get out name out there and we just felt it was better to get the site up rather than not at all. Our current site is a bit overwhelming (information over load). We are working on a NEW web site that is more user friendly and will be set up for e-commerce (this is when you'll see pricing). Till then, I will be happy to provide anyone with pricing. Please email me and I can scan price sheets or even send samples if you wish.

Lithops I can tell you all of Silver plated, stainless steel , nickel plate, brass plate don't rust normal,,sweet iron is easy to rust(but if the plating layer is good,it is not easy to rust too). plating is the most important thing to rust. what synthetic crystal you are taling about? do you mean buckle with stone? it is also need to have a good plating then it is not easy to rust, if not. can you send me picture so I can tell you more information. Lithops Report post Posted March 7, 2015 When I was younger I saw horse tack with rusted cochos & I do worry about it because I don't want to see my "products" rusted the next years. I guess it's depand of the care you give to your tack. As for synthetic Crystal rivets/spots I had the one Tandy where selling or something like conchos.com sale. I try to find good quality conchos, synthetic spots and I'm not sure where to look since I'm new to this. Thanks for the information about the conchos, make me worry less
