I came upon an old leather key fob on the keys of a vehicle I was detailing this past week and asked the owner if I could take it apart to see how it was made and then make a pattern. I offered to put the original back together and then also make her a new one. I made 3 of them with mixed results. The original is in the upper right hand corner of the first picture.

Would like to see one taken apart too. These are adorable and I would like to sell them at my Farmers Mkt this summer if you don't mind. Cheryl

Theses are GREAT! well done and so inventive and crafty! I too would like to see how you done these!

I have a pile of miniature BITS that would be great as the rings between them and the keys!

Available here also from Birdsall leather in Australia http://www.birdsall-leather.com.au/AOHB7744w/Ornamental-Horse-Bits/pd.php

So fun! I like yours better than the original, especially the tan one.

Yes. I liked the way that one turned out too. Kinda' looks like a buckskin. It was done with light tone antique gel. The black one really turned out nice but the "tan" Fiebings one turned out looking reddish.

Wow, that looks spectacular. I would love to make one for my daughter, a horse lover, if you could share the pattern.

Those look really great. Congrats on being able to reverse engineer from the original. I love the tan one as well in the lower right. Great job once again.
