Ian Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 He stole my idea - my goal when/if I get old is to be an eccentric old leatherworker, tapping away at chunks of hide and only taking jobs I really want. Might even take up the herb again and crank Motorhead, or at least Skynyrd while I work and hold audience with journalists, all begging for the story of the 100 year old leather crafter. Well, that's the plan anyway. Great picture, Tom. Quote http://blackcanyonleather.net/

Moderator Johanna Posted November 26, 2008 Moderator Report Posted November 26, 2008 Gave me a cold chill. Looks a lot like my first husband, the old man who dragged me kicking and screaming into leather land in the first place, Jon Alger. Would make a neat leather carving or tattoo, the Leather Wizard. Contributing Member UKRay Posted November 26, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted November 26, 2008 no not you..... could be U K Ray in a few years... Quite right, cousin - and not too many years either, but I'll have to do a bit more work on the whiskers... TomSwede Posted November 26, 2008 Author Report Posted November 26, 2008 Well as you probably figured out by now I'd take me an eternity to get this much hair so I'm gonna need to find another pic for my future good looking as seasoned leathercrafter!! But I just love this photo, this is the man and the art!!!
