That's a nice tote. I like the inset straps better than the usual design. I'd be tempted to add chicago screws, since people always over-load their totes, but the stitching is probably fine.

I like the way you attached the D rings keepers to the bag.... split, keeper inserted then top stitched to the bag = clean look

Monica, I thought about it too but I just liked the clean look with minimal hardware.

Do you think a longer line of stitching will make it stronger? I do want it to last.

*shrug* I don't know - I wouldn't worry about it. Most tote handles are attached even less securely - I tend to overcompensate.


I attached the straps to my (rather heavy 4 lb) bag in the same way, and it's going strong 18 months later.
