MonicaJacobson Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Cool! I want to see it with all the straps and everything. I've been working with the same stuff, on and off, - not easy to deal with the edges on that leather, and it's hard to cut, too.
tboyce Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Norton, Thanks. Yes, it's hand stitched.Monica, I haven't noticed the baseball glove leather any harder to cut. It's an absolute beast to skive though. I only had to skive the top inch and a half to fold over and I went through three blades on my safety skiver. Made me wish for an automatic skiver more than a sewing machine. I like the look and feel of the leather and I think it's perfect for bags that will see a lot of use.

MonicaJacobson Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Yes, skiving is terrible with that leather. I should say that if you try cutting baseball glove leather with a knife that is anywhere less than razor sharp, you would be frustrated. However, there's no way I would be doing that. Anymore.
