Scratchless Belt

I have a friend that wants me to make him a scratchless belt as he is in the auto body field. I cannot find the hardware for these style belts. It is very likely that I am looking up the wrong words, but "scratchless belt hardware" just leads me to scratchless belts for sale, not the hardware needed to make one. Any ideas on where to find the hardware for these? Thanks for any and all help.
