Members Matt S Posted August 31, 2018 Members Report Posted August 31, 2018 Great work on the 45D, @Constabulary That's a useful looking stand. I'm looking at building something similar out of Dexion, since I don't have a welding machine at the moment. It's 40x40x2mm mild steel angle commonly used for industrial racking, which I'll brace well and bolt to a 30mm ply base and top. Do you think such a thing would be beefy enough for a Seiko LCW-8? Members Constabulary Posted September 2, 2018 Author Members Report Posted September 2, 2018 I have no idea I never worked with Dexion angle profiles or the like. They would not be my 1st choice to be honest (for optical reasons). I would probably choose to sort of tubing push-fit system - if you know what I mean. Members Talisien Posted November 5, 2022 Members Report Posted November 5, 2022 Wow! What a strip down and rebuild!! It LIVES!!! *manic laughter* I have to confess to anxiety spikes. First was to read the location and weather conditions where you found these abandoned beasties. Nice rescue Second was the pile o bolts, springs and sundry. Wheew! Bless this modern age of pocket photography. If I ever stripped so far down my heart would be in my throat and images for a mile. I see what you mean about the size of the drive wheel. I had thought, from the manuals, that mine was smaller but your end on pic really makes it clear. Great work.
