Members Bolt Vanderhuge Posted March 25, 2017 Author Members Report Posted March 25, 2017 Thank you. Not many. I have a full time job. This is more of a hobby. Here is one for a railed 5" 1911. And one for commander 1911s. Quote

Members Bolt Vanderhuge Posted May 9, 2017 Author Members Report Posted May 9, 2017 Here is a 5" 5* with matching dual mag pouch. Quote
Members Bolt Vanderhuge Posted May 9, 2017 Author Members Report Posted May 9, 2017 This is the railed 5" from above but after applying the Angelus finish to it. You can see the difference in the color of the Ostrich Leg between the two. Before finish After finish Quote
Members Jarhead44706 Posted May 9, 2017 Members Report Posted May 9, 2017 Those are really nice pieces of work. Quote

Members battlemunky Posted May 9, 2017 Members Report Posted May 9, 2017 Wow, you may have just sold Angelus some finishes....that pops and adds a depth I had no idea was there. Quote
Members cradom Posted May 9, 2017 Members Report Posted May 9, 2017 Very nice work. Just curious, what are those marks on the inside-top? From hammer rubbing? Quote

From hammer rubbing? They are indentions from molding around the thumb safeties. They are in the cocked and lock position. The guard actually stops at the end of the slide so the beavertail and hammer are past the top of the holster. Quote
Members Bolt Vanderhuge Posted June 29, 2017 Author Members Report Posted June 29, 2017 Here is a recent set I made for a customer. It is for a 5" 1911, has a 15* cant and is accented with caiman tail. The caiman started out cognac in color. I applied some Cordovan oil dye on it. I really like the dark and light effects. Quote
