Mattsbagger Report post Posted February 5, 2017 (edited) How can a darken the neck piece to get it closer to the strap color? Both pieces have Aussie heated into them. Edited February 5, 2017 by Mattsbagger
Dwight Report post Posted February 5, 2017 Lay it out in the sun for a couple days. Actually does not have to be bright sun, . . . just stand it up in a south facing window. It'll darken. It may take a few days, but without the UV blocker that is only found in Resolene, . . . it all darkens. Might try a daylight white heat lamp, . . . May God bless, Dwight

NVLeatherWorx Report post Posted February 5, 2017 Neatsfoot oil and natural sun light will do the trick every time, it is what is meant when you here the term that the leather has been sun tanned (literally). Typically only takes a couple of hours, depending on amount of sunlight available of course.
Mattsbagger Report post Posted February 5, 2017 I'm ascared to put anything on it and get a blotch from oil. It also has leather balm w/atom wax on it. A customer got pics through EVERY stage and ok'd everything. Saw the variants of the colors said awesome when sent finished pic. Other than six rivets and hardware waiting on. Then 4 hrs later wanted me to dye the straps black or darken the top panel somehow. I will try a tan the top panel but I told her no guarantee.
bikermutt07 Report post Posted February 5, 2017 Redo the strap out of the same stuff as on the neck piece? Then dye it all at once.
