Anyone know where I might be able to get buckles similar to these? I'm usually pretty good with Google but haven't got anywhere.

Thanks much!

Equus Leather in the UK uses those. I think he has them custom made.

It's under their special edition belts page. Made for them in Paris. Sounds expensive.

I was in the Tandy store today and saw something similar.  I think the peg may have been in the middle.  Maybe worth a look

The one at Tandy is called a Conway buckle. It's designed for tack applications.

I know it's an old thread but as it could be useful for some...

The buckle posted by OP is made by Maison Poursin in Paris. You can see it on the right of this picture from their Facebook page.

They call it "boucle double 248 pont et tenon" and it's available in 20, 25, 30, 35 & 40mm in their online catalog.

And no, I don't work for them and don't know if we can source those buckle elsewhere than in their workshop in Paris.

Regards

I think that prong points UP, easier on the horse's cheek that way ;)

cause metalk detectors at airport don't pick it up.

100 years ago (-ish) we made about a JILLION belts, all basketweave and black and VELCRO instead of a buckle.  One teh boys worked at the local prison, got tired of taking his belt off and on every time he went to or left work (metal detector both ways).  Soon as he went through without taking his belt off, 50 more guys wanted one like that.  Been quite a while, but I'm guessing I could still make basket weave belts in my sleep (and for a while, I think I DID).
