Members holliesterr Posted March 21, 2017 Members Report Posted March 21, 2017 Hello! This is my very first post on leatherworker.net! I'm a beginner with leather working, and I'm finding it to be such a fun craft. My first project was a coin purse, using scrap leather I got from a big box craft store. My second projects were the two wallets shown in the pictures. The top was actually a crazy horse leather interior and wallet back from Springfield Leather. The instructions that came with it involved lacing, but I saddle stitched it instead. The bottom wallet shown was made with some 2-3oz veg tan leather. I purchased that pattern from LeodisLeather from Etsy. Not bad I think! For my next project I'm itching to make a nice bag for myself. Quote
Members panchoskywalker Posted March 21, 2017 Members Report Posted March 21, 2017 I love those wallet. Congratulations! Quote
bikermutt07 Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Great job and welcome to the forum. We are glad to have you. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members plinkercases Posted March 22, 2017 Members Report Posted March 22, 2017 Yup the wallet is very sharp. Good work and welcome!
