Members PappysLeather Posted April 22, 2017 Members Report Posted April 22, 2017 How do you dye belts with antique dye and keep it from running over the edges and through the holes and get on the back side of the belt? Quote
Members Halitech Posted April 22, 2017 Members Report Posted April 22, 2017 what I've started doing is not finished punching the holes until after I have all the tooling and dye work done. If you are using precut blanks, try putting some masking tape over the back. I don't use too much antique any more Quote Every day you learn something is a good day. If you don't learn something every day, was it worth waking up for?

alpha2 Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 I use painters tape or shipping tape. Lately, I've been punching holes after everything else, then using a Q-tip to apply stain in the holes, followed by a good burnish. Quote So much leather...so little time.
