Members Petewon Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) Hi Folks, I just got around to finishing this one. I've never tried this slot pocket (or whatever it is called) style. Edited July 4, 2017 by Petewon Quote
Members venator Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Very nice! What do you do for the edges? Both of the wallet itself and the thinner edges inside? Also, what type of leather is that? Quote

The inner and outer are both goat. 11 minutes ago, Sanch said: Very nice clean work on both good job sir Thanks Edited July 4, 2017 by Petewon Quote

Members gigi Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Well done!! What kind of knife is that? Quote
Members Petewon Posted July 4, 2017 Author Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Thanks. It's a creaser. I have had a few different creasers in the past but finally found this one which I'm really happy with. Quote
Members gigi Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) Ah: At first I thought it was a creaser but I've noticed what seemed a cutting edge... Edited July 4, 2017 by gigi Quote
Members DJole Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Lovely work -- so clean and crisp! Is that the color of the leather or did you dye it? (If you dyed it, what was the brand and color?) Quote
Members Petewon Posted July 4, 2017 Author Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Thanks. Yes, the leather was bought that colour. Quote
Members keplerts Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Everything looks really nice and clean. You do some really nice work! One question, How do you attach the watch strap buckle now that the strap in sewn together? Or am I missing something? Thanks Quote
Members rickdroid Posted July 4, 2017 Members Report Posted July 4, 2017 Really nice, professional work. I am very envious. rick Quote

Just like the spring bar at the other end of the strap but a bit smaller. 9 hours ago, rickdroid said: Really nice, professional work. Members tossik Posted September 8, 2017 Members Report Posted September 8, 2017 Are the slots just glued on inside the pockets? I dont see stitching. What did you use inside? cloth? Quote
Members Petewon Posted September 11, 2017 Author Members Report Posted September 11, 2017 Hi, its a material I got from my local haberdashery. Its like a really thin synthetic cloth. It folds/creases well to make the pockets. The three pockets are made from one piece of material folded up. Quote
Members Danne Posted October 3, 2017 Members Report Posted October 3, 2017 I can't figure out how you attached the middle part. Your edges looks very straight. If they where skived it would look like in my picture. Maybe you do like i show in my picture!?, but it looks like you have a better solution for this. If you have the time to explain it would be much appreciated be a beginner Picture from the short edge of the wallet. Quote
Members Petewon Posted October 4, 2017 Author Members Report Posted October 4, 2017 Hi Danne, yes your diagram is correct. Each edge of the centre piece is skived realy thin so as not to add any extra thickness to the edges. The top and bottom are rolled and stitched as you can see from the picture. Quote
