Members JNewkirkct Posted July 22, 2017 Members Report Posted July 22, 2017 Made this for a former coworker, has a microphone clip on personalized strap, flashlight holster and IAFF logo Quote
Members Zack55 Posted July 23, 2017 Members Report Posted July 23, 2017 Where did you get your IAFF stamp? Thanks and looks great Quote
Members JNewkirkct Posted July 23, 2017 Author Members Report Posted July 23, 2017 Thank you! Guy on eBay makes them, he also does maker stamps, star of life etc, they're laser cut plastic, but they hold up well in the arbor press. I'd prefer metal ones but they're grossly overpriced Quote
Members Fire88 Posted July 23, 2017 Members Report Posted July 23, 2017 Nice work! Did you make the pattern for the radio pouch? Quote

Thanks, I loosely followed the design that we carry on the job but my buddy didn't like the black, it's also larger than what we carry because he works for a private ambulance service and they use much larger portable radios 1 hour ago, Fire88 said: Nice work! Members JerseyFirefighter Posted July 23, 2017 Members Report Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) Looks great! Judging by the stamp it is likely awlivers. If memory serves he/she is an ebay dealer for Studio-N here on the forum. My opinion is that the radio holster pattern development is the greatest hurdle a fire leather business must overcome. Everything else is just learning by repetition. Edited July 23, 2017 by JerseyFirefighter Quote Rob www.ridgewayleatherworks.com IG: @Ridgewayleatherworks FB: RidgewayLeatherworks
Members BenjaminEstberg Posted July 24, 2017 Members Report Posted July 24, 2017 nice work! i make radio holders for a company called Green Valley Products. They are made out of nylon tho.... not as slick as the one you have shown us. Did you laser engrave the lettering on the strap, then fill it? Or.... Quote
Members Halitech Posted July 25, 2017 Members Report Posted July 25, 2017 Nice work and design. 2 things I noticed though. 1, the mic strap should be up higher to the shoulder so they don't need to unclip it to talk and 2. When doing the name, you pressed too hard on the arbour press handle because you can see the square from around the letter. Quote Every day you learn something is a good day. If you don't learn something every day, was it worth waking up for?
