Brooks125 Report post Posted November 17, 2017 Is there a method (which I'm sure there is) to NOT get Barge cement on your fingertips when lining up belt edges? I hope I'm not divulging my naivete', but this is getting old. It's to the point that I wait to get a batch of belt orders so I don't have to spend EVERY day picking at Barge boogers off my hands. JD62 Report post Posted November 17, 2017 I think if you let it set up longer you'll have better luck.15 or20 min. isn't too much.
BenjaminEstberg Report post Posted November 21, 2017 Acetone works well to get the boogies off if you dont mind white fingers.

ChasCS Report post Posted November 24, 2017 Instead of rubber or latex gloves, use finger cots. https://www.fingercots.net They look like condoms for the fingers. ;-) Chas
Stetson912 Report post Posted November 28, 2017 I would let it set up longer. It shouldn't be wet at all when you go to stick the pieces together. Bikermutt mentioned on another post using wax paper between the layers to line everything up nice without them sticking together when and where you don't want them too. Just remove the paper little by little to line them up and stick em together.
